Construction of a new storage facility and workshop
Many roller doors lead you into the facility
Our challenge: the construction of a new storage facility and workshop to house 250 vehicles instead of the 100 vehicles of 20 years ago. This growth in size may not seem impressive if we were talking about cars, but we're talking about construction cranes here, and that's mightily impressive! It's pretty clear, that the old storage facility with it's space for 100 just wasn't big enough any more. Wilhelm Banzhaf Krananlagen GmbH & Co. Logistik und Service KG looked for a new plot of land, and had a new storage facility with integrated workshop built on it.
The planning agency who managed the project told Banzhaf's managing director, Werner Haase, “HAB is a good company for building such facilities” and that's where our role started. As our client wished, many roller doors lead in and out of the facility. There's enough natural light too, thanks to the many windows in the walls and roof, which help save as much energy as possible. We delivered and assembled a coated steel support structure for the facility and built an insulated roof system with sheet waterproofing on top. We used insulated panels for the sides of the building. Werne Haase (managing director) summarized our work like this: “HAB made all our wishes possible!”
